Brain vs mind

Brain:

How do you remember the way to your friend's house? Why do your eyes blink without you ever thinking about it? Where do dreams come from? Your brain is in charge of these things and a lot more.

In fact, your brain is the boss of your body. It runs the show and controls just about everything you do, even when you're asleep. Not bad for something that looks like a big, wrinkly, gray sponge.

In short:

The human brain is the command center for the human nervous system. It receives signals from the body's sensory organs and outputs information to the muscles. The human brain has the same basic structure as other mammal brains but is larger in relation to body size than any other brains. The brain is a physical object that can be seen with the eyes and that can be photographed or operated on in surgery.

mind:

Is an abstract concept used to characterize thoughts, feelings, subjective states, and self-awareness that presumably arise from the brain. The mind is the primary domain of psychology. From rectifying problematic thought patterns to uncovering the workings of memory, mental illness, and emotions, psychology is heavily involved in the analysis of the mind. For generations, philosophers were the primary people studying the mind, but much philosophy of mind has now become the domain of psychology.
